Located at the eastern entrance to the town, along the Canal de la Robine, the Narbo Via museum lets you discover the riches of the ancient city of Narbo Martius, the first Roman colony founded in Gaul in 118 BC. Boasting a collection of more than 7,000 items, this museum with its contemporary architecture offers permanent and temporary exhibitions covering 3,200m2, including mural paintings and an exceptional collection of 760 fragments of funerary monuments in an animated wall that is unique in Europe.
Narbo Via is also dedicated to research. It has a restoration workshop, a study room for archaeological collections and furniture, a documentation room and a 192-seat auditorium for conferences and symposia.
Its gardens, bookshop-boutique and restaurant, Cadence au Musée, complete the vocation of this living space, which is open to the city and offers a dynamic program.
Free admission for under-18s.
