The Chapel "De dirre Herrgott" at the Irmstett salt spring "Sauerbrunnen" is located on the municipal district of Scharrachbergheim-Irmstett.
Former Celtic place of worship, this chapel presents a gaunt Christ "dirre Herrgott", the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a salt spring "Sauerbrunnen" and an old well.
Legend has it that during the Thirty Years' War, a Swedish man chased a girl from the village, she ran to hide in the reeds of the salt spring "Sauerbrunnen", there she promised to erect a cross there if she got away with it, she did and the girl kept her word.
The "Sauerbrunnen" is famous for its healing waters.
