Cave dimière

The dimière cellar is also known as a barn, and appears as the property of the Bishopric of Strasbourg. Tithes were collected in the village, with two-thirds going to the bishopric and one-third to the village?s minister of religion. In 1797, the building was sold and its vocation changed. The barn became a pleasure house, an artist?s home and a venue for painting exhibitions. Today, the premises are used as a community and wedding hall.
