The 26-hectare Parc Montcalm stands on the site of a former military school (the Ecole d’Application de l’Infanterie).
Open to the public since 1 January 2011, there is a grassed stadium in the centre of the park surrounded by a 7-lane athletics track, a rugby stadium, a basketball court, a handball court, 3 volleyball courts, 5 tennis courts, a “tambourin” court and a swimming pool! It’s perfect for a jog or a Sunday afternoon family outing (roller-skating, skateboarding, children’s cycling, etc.).
As well as the sporting facilities, there are extensive wooded areas around the edges of this large space for taking a stroll and enjoying the shade of the mulberry trees. Don’t forget your picnic!
