Musée Collections et Passions

Jean-Louis Schaal, a retired carpenter and cabinetmaker, has had a passion for the circus since childhood. Now he's made his dream come true: to open a big house for collectors! It's a place that not only houses his formidable circus collection, but also recounts his family history, the world of cabinetmaking and tools.
The exhibition also recounts the history of Plainfaing's firefighters since 1883, and features other collections: glasses, bottles, musical instruments, a collection of video recorders and a historical evocation of the First World War, "Plainfaing, village frontière", complete with old newspapers and, more recently, chipped wood.
Visits on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00 and on request.
