À propos
Armand GILLIERON travels the wine regions of France to fill the shelves of his store Côté20.
His desire? To regularly bring exceptional wines out of anonymity. And among those, some Meuse wines deserve to be known. With moderation, of course!
Among the 1,300 references that the wine merchant offers to his customers, there is one that he is particularly proud to introduce: Les Marpaux, a white Meuse wine made at Domaine de Muzy, just a few miles from Verdun. In his mouth, the words still sparkle when he starts to describe its color and its flavors
Les Marpaux is a wine with a great freshness that comes from the typical Lorraine grape variety, the Auxerrois. As an aperitif, it is wonderful. His enthusiasm does not wane when he mentions the other wines of the Domaine de Muzy: "We also have its Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Pinot gris wines, with Ossera, or the traditional methods, which are also very impressive
Through the vine, it is the Meuse that Armand Gillieron wants people to love: "its preserved biodiversity, its landscapes where vineyards, orchards and woods are mixed". When you enter the Côté20 store, Armand, his wife Christine and their collaborator Nadège, do not only want to share the wines.
Wine and beer?
At Côté20, you can also find some brewed pleasures, and in particular two beers made in Meuse: the Charmoy and the Rarécourtoise. "Two microbrewers who love what they do, and who have learned to work in a very traditional way," says the wine merchant. Notice to the amateurs! with you, but also their love for our territory.
Expressing what you feel when you taste a wine is never easy. To help you, Côté20 offers tasting sessions to teach you to discern the aromas and to appreciate the identity of each wine.
