À propos
At the entrance to the Thur Valley, the village of Bitschwiller-les-Thann is famous for its highest point: the Thanner Hubel (1184m). This peak and its farmhouse are at the center of a network of hiking trails and ski slopes.

It's also a commune with a storied past: the church dating from 1838 is famous for its Callinet organs.

In 1836, Bitschwiller was building locomotives, and it was at this time that the steam whistle was invented: the "Dampfpfifla", which gave its name to a local folk group.
