Course intended for singers with a good level Lessons in French, English or Dutch.
Arrival: Saturday 4 July from 5pm - Departure: Saturday 11 July morning
Rate for full board at the château itself: €480 in a room shared with 2 or 3 people, €550 in a small single room, €620 in a large single room / Tuition fees: €410
Programme:
During this singing and piano workshop we will sing duets, trios or quartets from different operas, as well as melodies and lieder.
Each day will begin with a physical and vocal warm-up, followed by rehearsals in a small ensemble or masterclass.
We will approach the works from a musical point of view: text, rhythm, melody and harmony, as well as from a theatrical point of view, eventually combining the two.

Andrea Wittchen, lyric soprano, performs regularly in recitals of lieder, melodies and opera, as well as in new forms of concert and theatre. A qualified singing teacher in Amsterdam, she has twenty-five years' teaching experience. She received her professional training in music and theatre in Norway, then in the Netherlands. She studied classical singing at the Higher Conservatory of Music at Utrecht University of the Arts, and movement theatre/mime at Amsterdam University of the Arts. She has a wide repertoire of lieder and melodies in several languages, as well as opera and oratorio arias. She has worked as a singer and movement actress with various theatre companies, including Griftheater Amsterdam, BEWTH Amsterdam and Théâtre du Mouvement in Paris.
Jack de Bie
Jack de Bie, pianist, began playing the piano at the age of three. He went on to study at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the highest of four prizes from the Cuypers Fund. Jack de Bie gives piano recitals and has also accompanied numerous singers in the Netherlands and abroad. For many years he was actively associated as pianist with the "Springiersbacher Meisterkurse" for singers in Germany. He has made two CD recordings with the Austrian company Koch-Schwann, which have been released as world premieres. Jack de Bie has a thriving piano teaching activity in Amsterdam, where he enjoys passing on his experience to his students.
The course was organised with the support of the Conseil départemental de l'Yonne, the Conseil régional de Bourgogne Franche-Comté and the Commune de Treigny.
