À propos
Nine years after Ouï, Camille returns with The Sound of Milk (2026), a singular project conceived as a triptych: Birth, Childhood and Adolescence. Through this intimate musical fresco, born of her experience as a mother and an artist, Camille explores joy, transmission, childhood and our link to the living. Somewhere between a sound diary, a pocket musical and pop flights of fancy, she composes a tender, committed work that will be celebrated on stage when she reunites with her audience.
The Sound of Milk, the album of grace
Nine years after Ouï, Camille is releasing a new album, The Sound of Milk (2026) - an original album in terms of its creative process and its triptych form, since it is made up of Naissance (2015), a sound diary, Enfance (2020), a pocket musical, and Adolescence (2025), a pop album.
"Only joy consoles me, and it's my role as a human being, a woman and a mother to nurture it, to dream it, and to repair the world through song by making it vibrate again!" she tells us through him. In these dark and turbulent times - socially, politically and ecologically - Camille has chosen to speak of joy that is both powerful and vulnerable, of the feminine, of motherhood, of childhood and the family in the broadest sense, of the transmission of music and unchanging values. She asks herself: how do we live our daily lives in the face of today's challenges? How can we look after children and our inner child, the living and the Living? What can we pass on to them to re-enchant the world?
Tender, lucid and committed, this album brings us face to face with the issues and challenges facing humanity. It also lulls us back to sleep, awakening us to love, and rekindling the stars where they have gone out.
The Sound of Milk is a musical fresco that has been maturing for more than fifteen years (the age of her eldest son), in which Camille explores the porous links between her life as a mother of two children (her son and her daughter), her family life and her life as an artist; all the while tracing the history of music.
Co-produced with La Rodia.
