Médiathèque Le Passage

Dating from the 19th century, its façade marked the entrance to a covered passageway that linked the Place d'Armes to the main street. It contains some exceptional books, including the Diderot and d'Alembert encyclopaedia (1759).

The ancient documents present the state of knowledge from the 16th to the 18th centuries in history, science, the arts, literature and travel. The reading room, converted in 1850, has retained its original oak panelling.
