Situated in the heart of the historic centre, the Prison Tower (which currently stands 16m high) was a defensive building in the 11th and 12th centuries, ensuring the control of the Notre-Dame Gate. Transformed into a prison in the 16th century, during the wars of religion, the building has six restored rooms to be discovered by means of a scenography or a guided tour (paying, by appointment).
