It is the "Jupiter Staircase" dear to Pierre-Paul Riquet, a unique place in the world. Since their completion in 1680, the 9 locks have been part of the life and memory of the people of Biterre and of so many Languedociens. Completely refurbished and reopened in 2017, the site is now flourishing in an environment where trees and plants and walking paths have regained their rights.
