Hymn to Love: fecundity and grace have pride of place in this work in which cast iron and marble are harmoniously combined.
This fountain located at the eastern end of Place Marcadieu is based on the oldest site of the Tarbais water supply (mentioned in 1781). Made at the end of the 19th century by Frère and named "Source de l'Amour" (Source of Love), it features a cut stone from Arudy and features a spring nymph holding a jug in a splendid cast iron group. The love at the feet of the female character seduces her while trying to guide her according to her will. In other words, it is a declaration of love by Tarbes for her source of life.
