MUSÉE DE L'ÉCOLE

In the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne, the School Museum allows children, parents, teachers... to discover the atmosphere of the communal school under the 3rd and 4th Republics: a rich period of primary education. In the 5 rooms of the Museum are presented all the teaching aids used in schools (from 1880 to the 1960s). See the exceptional collection of old projection devices... Interactive visit where everyone can write with a Gallic pen or sergeant major. Library memory of the school: center of studies and research on primary education in France. Annual exhibition.
Closed on public holidays, except Easter Monday and August 15th.
