CHÂTEAU DE SERRES
À propos
Château de Serres is a family estate belonging to the Le Marié-Tallavignes family, an old Languedoc family that has been producing wine between Carcassonne and Béziers for 600 years.
Domaine de Serres extends over 160 hectares, 25 of which are planted with AOC Malepère and IGP Cité de Carcassonne vines.
The vineyard's four main grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.
Sabine Le Marié, a former journalist and trained oenologist, took over this family estate in 1996 and has successfully modernized it. Numerous awards (Guide Hachette des Vins, Concours Général Agricole de Paris etc...) have crowned her passion for her estate, and the implementation of the best growing and winemaking methods.
At the end of the driveway are the farm outbuildings, followed by the château and its grounds... Enter the cellars of this Languedoc estate, then let yourself be guided through the grounds designed in the mid-19th century by the Bühler brothers. Curving paths set off a large lake. Several varieties of centuries-old trees, immense and majestic, form a palette of greens and scents at the heart of this winegrowing estate. From the château, whose origins date back to the Renaissance and which has been remodeled over the centuries with an 18th-century facade, you can catch a glimpse of the Cité de Carcassonne?
