The Grand Raid des Cathares is an Ultra Trail event, with 7 different race formats. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced trail runner, there's something for everyone.
Created in 2015, the Grand Raid des Cathares held its twelfth edition on October 22, 23 and 24, 2026, departing from Carcassonne

Le Raid des Troubadours: 85 km: 3,200 D+, October 23 at 9 a.m.
The Raid des Troubadours is a unique adventure, born in the spirit of the great epic crossings of the Cathar country. Inspired by the soul of the Grand Raid des Cathares, this new event plunges runners into the heart of a territory shaped by perched castles, forgotten paths and the voices of Occitan poets.
Along the way, participants follow historic paths linking medieval towns, secret valleys and windy ridges.

*Grand Raid des Cathares: 161 km: 7,000 m D+, October 22 at 9pm
*Raid des Bogomiles: 101 km: 4,300 m D+, October 23 at 11 a.m
*Raid des Troubadours: 85 km: 3,200 D+, October 23 at 9am
*Trail des Hérétiques: 63 km: 2,750 m D+, October 24 at 4am
*Trail des Colombes: 41 km: 1,300 m D+, October 24 at 8am
*Trail des Patarins : 25 km : 850 m D+, October 23 at 2pm
*Trail nocturne du château comtal : 12 km : 250 m D+, October 23 at 8pm
