Spectacle : d’Eckmühl à Eckmühl

Eckm%FChl is a lighthouse in Brittany; Eckm%FChl is a neighborhood in Oran, Algeria. Two places, one family. My family.
A story: that of my grandmother stepping out of her gypsy trailer to board a boat, leaving Brittany, and her arrival in Algeria. The birth of my father.
A grandmother’s confession to her 50-year-old grandson—the secret revealed, a world of certainty crumbling.
The urgency to travel, to clear away the sand, to recall, to retrace the path. To find that young girl in that overseas France, her encounter with my grandfather, my father’s father… Unless, unless?
