À propos
A medieval hamlet crossed by the Vincou river, it is home to the Auberge de Pontabrier restaurant, which serves traditional local cuisine. The Pontabrier mill was developed by the Grandmont monks and has belonged to the local lord since 1619. It was inhabited by the Réjaud family, millers for the Baron de Compreignac, until the French Revolution. The miller at the time was condemned to the guillotine in June 1794, as he had refused to comply with the law enacted in 1792, requiring all water points to be drained in order to sow cereals.
