In 2013, we hosted *L’Après-midi d’un Foehn* and *Vortex*, unforgettable performances by Phia Ménaard. She returns with “Nocturne (Parade),” the fourth piece in the “Pièces du vent” cycle. Performer, circus artist, dancer, director? Phia Ménaud founded her company in Nantes in 1998 with the guiding principle: “We don’t invent anything; we just see it differently”—Non nova, sed nove. A promise kept! With this new show, she draws us into a poetic and fantastical ballet of plastic puppets that come to life before our eyes through the mysterious power of air. The wind and the music together serve as the breath of life, a joyful takeoff in a creation marked by her grief over her father’s passing. Immersed in darkness—a metaphor for our troubled times—she invites us to discover new meanings and guides us toward the light as the performance unfolds. Masterful!
