Located between Lannes and Hûmes, the Col de Saint-Menge owes its name to the nearby fort (not open to visitors). It is the ideal crossing point between the Marne valley and the Val de Gris, and offers fine views. The pass is flanked to the north-west by the fort of the same name, which rises to 446m, and to the east by the Bois de la Rocherie, at 433m.
It is the 5th pass listed by the Comité Départemental de Cyclotourisme de Haute-Marne.
