Charmoy is a village that joined with Broncourt and Fayl-Billot in 1972 to form the commune of Fayl-Billot. Charmoy owes its name to the Charme tree. Before the 1789 Revolution, the village belonged to the Order of Malta and was part of the Romagne commandery.
