In a natural setting, Chaumont enjoys a privileged environment, far from the stress of the big cities. Quality of life is a concept that makes sense here. Chaumont's built heritage spans eleven centuries. The town was founded in the 10th century on a rocky spur overlooking the Marne and Suize valleys.
