The Communauté de Communes de la Région de Molsheim-Mutzig (Molsheim-Mutzig Regional Community of Communes) has decided to take charge of the construction of 3 fish passes on the Bruche river. The first fish pass was installed in Molsheim in 2007, near the fitness trail.
These structures line the course of the Bruche, enabling fish to swim upstream, bypassing obstacles that were previously impassable to them.
2 other piscicultural structures have been created at Wolxheim and Mutzig, to enable salmonids (fario trout, etc.), highly migratory species (Atlantic salmon, sea trout, etc.), whitewater cyprinids (gudgeons, loaches, etc.) and eels to swim up the Bruche and reach better spawning grounds.
