The village of Les Riceys is located in Champagne in the heart of the Côte des Bar. With 866 hectares of vines, it is the largest wine-growing commune in Champagne.
The village is made up of three parts (Ricey-Bas, Ricey-Haut and Ricey-Haute-Rive), which were reunited during the French Revolution in 1789.
These three villages have preserved their distinctive architectural features, with three listed Renaissance churches, characterful buildings linked to winegrowing and numerous cellars open to visitors.
Cadoles are emblematic features of this wine-growing region. These are dry-stone loggias built by winegrowers to provide shelter in bad weather.
