Théâtre : Mots d'excuse

Family Theater.

When parents put pen to paper to write to teachers... the result can be irresistible!

Between spelling mistakes, lyrical flights of fancy, and unabashed bad faith, excuse notes are rarely literary masterpieces… but they’re often true gems of unintentional humor. Late arrivals, absences, punishments, disastrous report cards, or made-up minor ailments: parents compete to come up with the most imaginative excuses to justify, defend, or get their child out of trouble—even if it means verging on the absurd.

Authentic, delightful, sometimes poetic, often surprising—and always true—these messages become the starting point for an unexpected moment of sharing, punctuatedby confidences, lighthearted score-settling, and moving revelations.

Tickets can be purchased by phone, email, online, or at the TST on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
