Starting out as a teenage dream in the 2000s, the committed roots collective Danakil is now a benchmark, a group that has crossed the generations with its freedom-loving songs, chanted like anthems in the biggest venues in France and at festivals across Europe.
Over the years, Danakil has shed its "reggae band" label and moved into the realm of French popular music with songs that have become classics across the generations. Millions of streams, a string of dates in Zeniths and at festivals... None of this detracts from their simplicity, a trademark that has enabled them to forge an unbreakable bond with their audience. A singular atmosphere stamped with the seal of independence and militancy.
