The monuments that make up the Valley of the Frescoes have a common denominator: their mural paintings, made in different periods, a true echo of a tradition that once consisted of adorning the wall surfaces with painted decorations. From the works of anonymous painters of the Romanesque period to the well-known authors of more recent times, they have expressed themselves through real narrative cycles or other only simulated decorations
