A fortified place in the 5th century, the Castrum Caesaris, an observatory overlooking the Adour, had a palace, the Palestrion. A martyrial church dedicated to Severus was built there. It can be reached via the steep côte de Brille. Feudal mounds evoke the medieval castle. Seat of the bullring.
