Saint-Sever was founded and fortified in 1100 by Abbot Suavius. Only the shell stone door of the Turrón is preserved. The wall was enlarged in the 15th century at the request of the Jurats. Remains are visible: walls, Bourrouilhan tower, Mauléon tower, watchtower base...
