The abbey was founded in 988 and is listed by UNESCO as a pilgrimage site! Its abbey church has preserved a very rare 11th century chevet with 7 staggered apses, 77 capitals and a Romanesque tympanum. Destructions and reconstructions have made the newly restored church evolve.
