Off-road parking in front of the house for two cars. A private entrance on the west side, with presence detector for lighting, allows you to come and go as you please. The kitchen features a four-burner electric stove and oven, a fridge, a steamer, a rice cooker, an electric kettle, a classic and a Senseo coffee maker, a dishwasher, a toaster and a microwave oven. You can place your dishes in the living room on a monastery table that seats six. A DVD player, flat-screen TV and a stock of DVDs and books (French and English) are at your disposal. For TV, there is no satellite or cable connection. Connected to fiber, the Internet connection is excellent, as is GSM 4G coverage. Fast Internet access means you can surf the web with ease. The shower room has a washing machine, so you can enjoy the freedom to relax without worrying about how many clothes you need to take with you. A storage area offers an ironing board and iron, as well as cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner, brush, etc. If you're back from a hike or bike ride, you can leave your dirty shoes at the entrance to the gîte on the first floor. The house is non-smoking. The villages near Les Woieries are also great places for sightseeing and hiking. The gîte and its immediate surroundingsThe gîte is located in the middle of a forest on the Ardennes plateau, along a low-traffic road linking Monthermé to Hargnies. A hiking trail starts in front of the house. The hamlet is not connected to mains gas or to the sewage and water systems. We ask our guests to use natural products for showering, toilets, cleaning and washing up, as all waste water flows into our natural pond, which is home to many green frogs and dragonfly larvae. For safety reasons, the pond is not accessible to guests of the gîte, but if we are present we can invite you to discover it.Pets are not allowed, either in the gîte or in the garden.Outside, you can enjoy a private part of the garden on the west wing of the house where a wooden table with seating for four is installed. In Monthermé, you'll find two bakeries, a pharmacy, a supermarket for shopping, two restaurants and a kébab. So you're free to cook in the gîte or dine in one of the many reasonably-priced restaurants in the area.
