À propos
From time immemorial, Saint-Martin has been chosen as Patron Saint of Biarritz; the parish dates back at least to the time of English domination, and until 1894, Saint-Martin was the parish church of the commune.
The present church was probably built on the site of a primitive religious building of which nothing is known
In Romanesque style, it was enlarged and remodelled in 1541 (date indicated on a pillar). It was from 1861 that the old church began to be restored and embellished.
