À propos
Sérichamp is a peak in the Vosges mountains, on the border between the communes of Ban-sur-Meurthe-Clefcy and Plainfaing. This stubble was cleared between the 9th and 11th centuries, before being divided between the Chapter of Saint-Dié and the Dukes of Lorraine.
The origin of its name remains uncertain: it could refer to a "late field", because of the altitude, which delays vegetation growth, or to a "narrow field", referring to the elongated shape of the original thatch.
Its flora, composed of brimbelles, gentians and mosses, and its panoramic view over the ridges and the Hohneck, make it an emblematic Vosges summit, ideal for hikers coming from Valtin, Xéfosse or Grand Valtin. A picnic area below allows you to enjoy the coolness of the high altitude woods.
