À propos
Situated in the place called "Le Rudlin", near the "Etang des Dames" (Ladies' Pond), the Saint John the Baptist Chapel was built in the 17th century. Originally there was a hermitage in front of the pond, the chapel was rebuilt by the Lesseux family just opposite, at the foot of the hill
Its surroundings were used as a temporary military cemetery during the First World War. The Second World War damaged it and its neo-gothic bell tower was rebuilt from timber. At the top, the iron cross is dominated by the effigy of a capercaillie
The roof and the bell tower were renovated in 2010.
