As of January 13, 2026 and until further notice, the Epinal theater is closed to the public.

This Italian-style theater hosts shows, competitions, auditions, conferences and meetings... It boasts excellent acoustics and 5 dressing rooms for artists. The hall has a capacity of 333 seats spread over three floors.
It was built in 1806 to plans by Nancy architect Grillot, in collaboration with Navière, ingénieur ordinaire des Ponts et Chaussées. It stands on the site of the former tithe barn of the Chapter Ladies. The Napoleonic-style building has undergone several alterations, extensions and technical improvements. In particular, it was renovated in 1994.
The building has undergone constant evolution, but retains its old-world charm: balconies with subtle moldings, flower-filled ceilings? It exudes the majestic atmosphere of another century. You're sure to enjoy some exceptional moments!
Scènes Vosges and other local cultural partners, notably the association Les Amis du Théâtre Populaire, are responsible for programming this bicentenary theater. The program is eclectic and changes with the seasons.
The theater hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the Concours Artistique, the Concours International de Piano, shows by the Cie Les Joli(e)s Mômes, the Société des Fêtes and the IUT Hubert Curien.
