Usine des eaux

Planned as early as 1879, the hydraulic station was built by the city of Bar-le-Duc, to supply the reservoir known as "la ville basse", located at the top of rue Montant. It originally comprised a catchment gallery, basins, filters and a waterworks. This installation partly solved the problem of supplying water to the town of Bar-le-Duc, which at the time depended on wells, cisterns and the catchment of small springs supplying fountains.
