SYNOPSIS :
Created and choreographed by Jayson Summers, Artistic Director of Jay?DanCe Academy, "Esmeralda" revisits Victor Hugo?s timeless work Notre-Dame de Paris.
Through a succession of choreographic tableaux featuring lyrical dance and modern jazz, spectators are plunged into the spellbinding atmosphere of medieval Paris. The beauty and fragility of Esmeralda contrast with the all-consuming passions of Quasimodo, Frollo and Phoebus. Each movement in turn expresses love, jealousy, desire and drama, in a staging that combines power and delicacy.
More than just a performance, "Esmeralda" is an artistic fresco in which dance becomes a universal language. Costumes, music and choreography combine to offer audiences an intense sensory and emotional experience, paying tribute to the freedom and strength of human feelings.
WARNING:
Although this show is aimed at a family audience, certain scenes, particularly at the end of the second part, are likely to offend the sensibilities of younger viewers.
For children aged 0 to 4 and 11 months: free admission.
