Built in 1951, at the same time as the Ban la Dame site where the Pompey steel mills' wire mill is located, the Bow String Bridge linked the two banks of the plant. Equipped with rails, it allows the semi-finished products leaving the mills of the plant to reach the wire mill and the south mill trains located on the other side of the Moselle.
