À propos
The Meuse, an international river (convention of May 12, 1863), originates at Pouilly en Bassigny, not far from the watershed between the North Sea and Mediterranean basins. The river is 950 km long and runs 47 km through the Haute-Marne region, where it is joined by a dozen tributaries, all of which originate here or spend part of their journey here. On the Meuse, the Saint Laurent fountain, also known as Sainte Salaberge, was said to cure certain ailments.
