At 7 rue du couvent a fresco by the painter Ernest Meichler represents a Mulhouse Swiss banneret or guard. Mulhouse, in the 18th century, was allied to the Swiss cantons. A contingent of Mulhouse inhabitants was regularly supplied to Switzerland, this painting pays tribute to them.
