À propos
Of the five giant chimneys on the huge textile industrial site, only two remain. The first is the boiler room of the bleaching, dyeing and finishing buildings built in 1893-1894. Housed in the boiler room, it is 60 metres high (after being topped by more than 5 metres) with a diameter of 6.65 metres and is one of the oldest chimneys preserved in Mulhouse. The second chimney accompanies the boiler room built in 1906. With a height of 66.20 meters, and a diameter of 9 meters on the ground, it is the largest remaining chimney in Alsace.
