À propos
Yves Carrey's work located in the Nouveau Bassin bears the name L'Arbre. The work was installed in 2003 and is the second piece installed on the boardwalk. Yves Carrey is a Mulhouse artist who is well known in the region's artistic community. A welder by trade, he will very quickly put his mastery and know-how as a welder at the service of his art. His creative inspiration comes from his first job, and he will transpose his manual work to an artistic and plastic work
The Tree was made with concrete irons, long rods of scrap metal that were recovered from the wasteland of old buildings of the potash mines. At the top of the work, there are flowers that are actually old parts of agricultural vehicles
This work blends very well with its surroundings, firstly because it refers to the environment, it is a tree among trees, but also because of its colour, which blends in with the decor.
