Ecole Koechlin

Built in 1865 in the City, it was the third neighborhood school to be built. Ten years later, it had to be enlarged. The school had the same characteristics as those built at that time in Mulhouse: two long classroom buildings located on either side of a courtyard, with a delimitation of the part reserved for boys on the one hand and for girls on the other, the janitor's lodge in the center of the courtyard, independent sanitary facilities, all of which was of great architectural sobriety. Electricity was installed in 1921. The building is not open to visitors.
