Macbett

Against the backdrop of a %E9pouvable war, Macbett and Banco, friends and doubles, cross paths in a forest with %E9strange, prophetic witches.

From that moment on, mistrust and scheming poison their relationship, and the loyal generals they once were are transformed into deceitful and Machiavellian minds. Ambition will hasten their downfall.

Les Dramaticules return to La Madeleine after a ten-year absence. Having previously presented *Hamlet*, *Ubu Roi*, *Richard III*, and *Don Quixote* there, they return with their new 2025 reimagining, Ionesco’s *Macbett*—an opportunity to discover this
1972 play, loosely inspired by one of Shakespeare’s most iconic characters.

What if Ionesco were to reinterpret Shakespeare? How far can ambition take two friends?

Praised by *Le Point* and *La Terrasse*, *Macbett* is currently playing at the TLM—Théâtre la Madeleine—for evening performances and school matinees.
