This park was originally the home of Achille Fould, Minister of State under Napoleon III. The site, acquired by the city in 1978, was first renovated on the initiative of Paul Chastellain, mayor at the time.
Today it is a park of a larger scale which is given to the public thanks to a harmonious restoration which also benefits the Pyrenees National Park.
