The association Les Amis du Musée des sapeurs-pompiers de Tarbes is first and foremost a group of friends, active and former firemen of Tarbes, driven by a desire to remember. In 1980, on the initiative of Jean-Marie DAUREU, they started to search for, locate and recover equipment and materials in the state
Follow this team of enthusiasts who will tell you their stories and anecdotes when they are not busy tinkering with their carriages!
Today, this museum presents a rich collection exposed in a 1700 m2 room: 45 fire and rescue vehicles, all restored on the spot and in perfect working order, 23 motorized pumps, 13 hand pumps, an important collection of outfits and clothing (French and foreign), miniatures, and other objects related to fire heroes
