À propos
Resolutely fun, this fountain is interactive: it's child's play to set it in motion!
Designed by Max Lorca (an internationally renowned fountain designer) in 1991, the sculpture features a pretty half-moon-shaped basin with a bubbling water jet that lights up powerfully in the evening. A 1 meter high granite base overhangs this basin, on which a pink and grey marbled granite sphere 1 meter in diameter and weighing 1500 kg is set in motion by a cushion of water under pressure. The trick which consists in making the sphere rotate on itself above 1 cm of water, with the help of a light touch of hand often remains unsuspected, which makes all the secret and the mystery of the building!
