Exposition "Ferdinand Foch et la Pologne"
📅 Sep 20 – Aug 25, 2026
📍 à la Maison natale du Maréchal Foch, 65000 Tarbes
À propos
As the war drew to a close, Marshal Foch strove to promote freedom and understanding between the victors. In his opinion, the Peace Treaty, as drafted on June 28 1919, did not protect Europe from another war.
The exhibition highlights Marshal Foch?s trip to Poland in 1923. The trip is highly symbolic on several counts: it highlights the Franco-Polish friendship, and also provides an insight into Polish culture: that of a stateless nation that lives through literature and art.
Works from the collections of Maréchal Foch?s birthplace, the Massey Museum and the collections of Tarbais museums. In fact, the Maison natale conserves around a hundred documents received by Ferdinand Foch during his trip to Poland.
Open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm
