Located on the heights of Lourdes, just a 10-minute walk from the Sanctuary, the Cité Saint-Pierre is a welcome center and the source of Secours Catholique-Caritas France in Lourdes.
During the pilgrimage season, you can come and visit the Cité, discover its history and its special place of welcome for the poorest pilgrims to Lourdes. Our volunteer guides will be delighted to show you around this 35-hectare estate.
Visits for individuals: only from April to September, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 4:15 pm.
Group visits: Monday to Saturday, April to October, 08:30 to 17:00.
Tour description: Get a bird's eye view of the unique man-made landscape of Lourdes! Located 900 meters from the Grotte de Massabielle, come and visit the Cité Saint-Pierre. A bus (5 min) will take you up for a one-hour stroll accompanied by a passionate guide!
On the program:
- Discover the Chapelle Ste-Bernadette, a reproduction of the Bergerie de Bartrès
- Admire a 2,500-seat cathedral of greenery
- Contemplate a panoramic viewpoint unique to Lourdes All set in a landscaped 38-hectare estate.
