The sky in the Gavarnie Valleys is so pure that it has been declared an International Dark Sky Reserve.
Hautacam is a privileged place to observe the sky without light pollution, and to make the most of it, the Parc national des Pyrénées has designed a unique place: the Parc aux étoiles.
All-new furnishings are freely available to encourage daydreaming and star-gazing: a totem pole with a phosphorescent map to help you spot the main constellations; a night bath to put you in the ideal position for comfortable stargazing; a mini-agora for sharing moments together.
